This is an engaging journaling class designed to empower learners with a valuable skill. Journaling is an exciting journey of self-expression and self-discovery. In this course, we will introduce the basics of journaling and explore its profound benefits.

Here's why journaling matters:

Emotional Release: Journaling provides a safe and private space for learners to express their thoughts and feelings, helping to reduce anxiety and stress. It can be a therapeutic outlet.

Mindfulness: Through journaling, learners can enhance their self-awareness and mindfulness. It allows them to reflect on their experiences and thoughts, promoting personal growth and a deeper understanding of themselves.

Improved Writing Skills: Journaling is an excellent way to enhance writing skills. It encourages creativity, vocabulary expansion, and the development of coherent thought.

Problem-Solving: By writing about challenges and dilemmas, learners can find clarity and potential solutions. Journaling can serve as a valuable problem-solving tool.

Enhanced Memory: Documenting experiences and thoughts can improve memory and help learners remember and learn from their past.

The intention of the class is not to elicit reports personal experiences with mental health from learners. If the learned begins to share any personal mental health concerns I will kindly ask the learner to refrain from further discussion in front of the class and to continue the conversation with a trusted adult. If a learner ever shares something that is concerning, I will reach out to parents after class depending on the context of the information Note: Review Outschool's Community Standards before class to ensure that learners remember to keep personal information private.
