The aim of this course is to offer educational and learning activities to help students explore strategies they can use to understand and manage anxiety. This class is not a therapeutic group. There is no intention of the class to elicit reports on personal experiences with mental health from learners. If a learner shares any personal mental health details (despite not being prompted to do so) , I will ask that the learner refrain from further discussion in the class and instead continue the conversation with a trusted adult. If a learner shares something that is concerning, I may need to reach out to parents after class depending on the context.
