Description
Class Experience
During this 1-on-1 course, learners will take part in an interactive lesson about recognising and responding to anger positively. We will define anger, its triggers and warning signs, and we will explore strategies and calming techniques to effectively cope with and manage it. By the end of the lesson students should be able to: - understand what anger is and what are its triggers - recognise the warning signs in their body - recognise that anger is a normal feelings like other feelings...
Students will learn what anger is and how to recognise the warning signs in their body. They will also explore calming and relaxing strategies to help them cope and manage their anger.
As a mental health practitioner and currently supporting the wellbeing of students in schools, I have the understanding and knowledge needed to help students explore and manage their emotions and improve their wellbeing.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The aim of this class is to offer educational activities to help students what anger is and what strategies they can use to manage their anger. This class is not a therapeutic group. There is no intention of the class to elicit reports on personal experiences with mental health from learners. If a learner shares any personal mental health details (despite not being prompted to do so) , I will ask that the learner refrain from further discussion in front of the class and instead continue the conversation with a trusted adult. If a learner shares something that is concerning, I may need to reach out to parents after class depending on the context.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
