課堂經歷
This Advanced Stretch, Flexibility, and Acro Class is perfect for experienced acrobats, dancers, gymnasts, ice skaters, cheerleaders, and other athletes interested in acrobatics and floor tricks. This class also caters to those with busy schedules, that do not fit into the current time offerings for live class meetings, or who simply do not prefer to take live classes. Flex classes allow students to take class anytime of the day or night, at the most convenient time for their schedules. The class will focus on increasing flexibility, and learning advanced acro skills. **As this class is advanced, previous experience is required and necessary for safe participation. To join, a student must already have all of the skills from Beginner and Intermediate Acro and specific tumbling skills: -Strong Bridges *from standing -standard bridges -elbow bridges -twist to bridge -in and outs -Elbow Stands *can balance for at least 5 seconds -Chest Stands *can balance for at least 5 seconds -Roll in -Face Freezes/Shoulder Stand -Headstand *can balance for at least 5 seconds -“Good Leg” Split (flat on the floor) -Continuous Split -Fish Flop -Illusions -Forward Rolls -Backward Rolls -Handstands -into bridge -Cartwheels -Cartwheel Switch Split *If you are unsure what any of these skills are, or if you student is ready for this class, please reach out! Lesson Overview: All lessons will be approximately 15-25 minutes long (excluding stretching - stretching will add another 30 minutes), and will cover a acro skill/floor trick each week. When possible, each week's skill will include variations ranging from easier, to more difficult. This is put in place in order to challenge students, and cater to a wide range of skill levels. Students are encouraged to refer to one of our 3, 30 minute warm up and stretch videos before beginning the acro video. These two segments of class are filmed separately for the instance in which a learner and parent are interested only in the acro component of this class. While there will be no required homework, athletes are always encouraged to post videos and pictures in our classroom page to showcase their progress and accomplishments. Learners are always welcome to message me for feedback on any given skill they are looking to improve. All class material and content for the upcoming week will be uploaded by Monday at 8:00 AM EST for students to begin practicing the content of the lesson, and working on this week's skills and conditioning. CLASS SCHEDULE Week 1: Kip to Bridge -Entrances -Variations -Exits Week 2: Back Limber Slides -Combos Week 3: Reverse Illusions Week 4: Back Extension Rolls -Combos Week 5: Handstand *advanced -Entrances -Variations -Exits Week 6: Valdez *Kickover portion will only be taught if students already have this skill -Combos Week 7: Around the World (chest stand variation) -Combos Week 8: Bridge Slide Through -Entrances -Exits Disclaimer: *While skills in this class seek to be taught as safely as possible, parental guidance is necessary, as any sort of physical activity can be dangerous, and could potentially result in injury. While skills in this class are for beginners, parental guidance is necessary, as any sort of physical activity can be dangerous, and could potentially result in injury.
Students should wear moveable athletic-wear in order to fully engage in each activity.
They should also have a safe space to practice acro, free of any obstacles.
A gymnastics/acro mat, yoga mat, rug, or soft surface should be available for performing tumbling skills.
A water bottle is also advised.
