In addition, this understanding helps build motivation to use positive, active emotional regulation strategiesWeek 2Lesson 2Session 2: What is Flexibility?The purpose of the lesson is to introduce the concept of Flexibility and bring salience to its definition. The activities included in this lesson are designed as hands-on opportunities to explore Flexibility in its physical form, and how approaching tasks Flexibly is more efficient. This lesson forms a bridge from the concept of Physical Flexibility to the more abstract concept of Cognitive Flexibility. The lesson begins the work of creating a vocabulary of wordsWeek 3Lesson 3Session 3: How to be FlexibleThe goal of this lesson is to teach students five self-regulatory scripts that, combined with the previously introduced GWPDC, give students a set of cognitive routines for regulating their behavior effectively.
