We will be making cupcakes by scratch and baking and enhancing boxed cake mixes for an amazing gourmet flavored cupcakes and luscious icings.
Class experience
In this weekly ongoing class we will bake and decorate a different flavor cupcake each week. Some cupcakes will be made by scratch and others will be by enhancing a cake box recipe. We will be baking and making the icing to pair with the featured cupcake. A list of ingredients and supplies needed will be posted in the classroom in advance so that students may prepare to have their ingredients ready for the class. Homework Offered
Have all ingredients out and ready at the start of class. Some ingredients may need to be measured out before class starts to be able to finish in class. Some classes may need to finish baking while off live class. Post pictures of your baked and cooked dishes.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

All recipes will be give at end of class, as I like to keep everyone at the same pace. No one to far ahead or to far behind. Supply list for each week will be posted 3-4 days in advance. Some pantry ingredients we’ll be using in class. Flour Sugar Powdered sugar Heavy whipping cream Brown sugar Baking Soda Baking Powder Cornstarch Salt Butter Eggs Cake box mix Kitchen supplies Measuring cups Measuring spoons Mixing bowls Rubber Spatula 1-2 Standard Cupcake pan or mini cupcake pans Cupcake liners regular or mini depending on your cupcake pan. Electric hand mixer or stand mixer Baking/cooking spray Can opener
Younger learners may need help turning on oven and removing hot cupcake pan from their hot oven. In most classes we will be using a hand held mixer, or stand mixer, occasion a stovetop and/or microwave. On some occasion we may use a knife, please be available for younger learners if they need your help. If your child has any allergies or dietary restrictions, please contact me and I’ll suggest something in place of it.
