In this one time class you will make your own dough and assemble it with sweet fillings.
Class experience
Students will learn to measure out ingredients. Hands on to knead their dough. They will roll out dough and learn to prepare them for a sweet filling. They will have many options for filling from apples, cherry, Nutella, and whatever they could imagine. They will find out that there are so many amazing option with the sweet empanada dessert.
This is the foundation to continue more advanced classes.
Homework Offered
They will need to have their ingredients and supplies ready to start the class. If they don’t finish baking all their empanadas during class they may need to finish baking them after class.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
They will be assessed by participating in class, being ready to learn.Grades Offered
All purpose flour shortening sugar baking powder milk Powdered sugar Egg Rolling pin Medium mixing bowl Spoon Measuring spoons Measuring cups Cookie sheet 3”-5” round cookie cutter or something equivalent to those sizes. Could be a round cylinder drinking glass.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learners may need help with turning on oven and removing empanadas from oven.
