- Students will build life skills by learning to bake. Academic skills such as math and reading will be exercised at every meeting. Students will learn to read and bake from a recipe. They will strengthen math skills as they work with different forms of measurement. They will learn time management skills as they attend to the entire baking process which includes gathering ingredients, measuring ingredients, mixing, preparing items for baking and, most importantly, learning to clean up after themselves while they are baking and when they are done.
I have been cooking for more than 40 years. All the recipes in this class are tried and true, family recipes.
