Welcome to the second part of our journey towards mastering emotional wellness. In this six-week course, we'll delve deeper into understanding and managing our thoughts and emotions. By exploring various tools and techniques, you'll learn to navigate through moments of anxiety and stress with resilience and confidence.

Week 1: Challenging Cognitive Distortions
Recognizing and reframing cognitive distortions that contribute to anxiety.
Cognitive-behavioral techniques to challenge negative thought patterns.

Week 2: Emotion Regulation Strategies
Identifying and understanding different emotions, including anger, frustration, and sadness.
Developing effective strategies for regulating emotions in challenging situations.

Week 3: Building Resilience
Cultivating resilience through mindset shifts and positive self-talk.
Embracing setbacks as opportunities for growth and learning.

Week 4: Self-Compassion and Acceptance
Practicing self-compassion as a tool for managing anxiety and reducing self-criticism.
Embracing acceptance of oneself and life's uncertainties.

Week 5: Stress Management Techniques
Exploring various stress management techniques, including progressive muscle relaxation and guided imagery.
Creating personalized stress management plans for everyday life.

Week 6: Gratitude and Neuroscience
Understanding the connection between gratitude, and emotional well-being from a neuroscientific perspective.
Exploring how practicing gratitude can positively impact brain structure and function.

If the learner begins to share any personal mental health concerns I will kindly ask the learner to refrain from further discussion in front of the class and to continue the conversation with a trusted adult. If a learner ever shares something that is concerning, I will reach out to parents after class depending on the context of the information Note: Review Outschool's Community Standards before class to ensure that learners remember to keep personal information private.
