With a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, I bring over 8 years of extensive experience as a therapist specializing in working with teens. My dedication to mental health strategies and tools has been honed through years of practical application. Beyond my therapeutic role, my journey includes diving into child development and brain research, contributing to my well-rounded understanding. My current role as a research scientist focuses on teen mental health and psychology, allowing me to integrate the latest findings into my teachings. Passion drives my commitment to educating youth about mental health, a journey I've undertaken both as a therapist and an educator. The intention of the class is not to elicit reports personal experiences with mental health from learners. If the learner begins to share any personal mental health concerns I will kindly ask the learner to refrain from further discussion in front of the class and to continue the conversation with a trusted adult. If a learner ever shares something that is concerning, I will reach out to parents after class depending on the context of the information Note: Review Outschool's Community Standards before class to ensure that learners remember to keep personal information private.
