My classes are taught with understanding and patience. Students are encouraged to participate fully so they gain the most out of their time with me and other students. Low self esteem can hinder children from enjoying new experiences and the joys of each new day. What works for one student may not work for another. Keeping this in mind, I give students several different techniques to help them grow emotionally. Class #1 Checking in with yourself (I feel, I need…) Class #2 Questions to ask...
I have a bachelors degree in Child and Family Services. I have extensive experience with developmentally delayed children and spectrum disorders. This class is not intended for therapy purposes. It is meant to help children gain self esteem, control and confidence. Questions will not be directed towards learners, but given as broad statements such as: If you get angry when you don’t get your way…here are a few techniques to help refocus.
