課堂經歷
* I have added an additional video to this course. It is about how our behavior and words affect others. I wanted to add an update to be sure as my students needs change, I am addressing new issues that arise. This class is not therapeutic in nature. It is to help children learn to manage everyday stressors. In this class, your learner will be taught to recognize how they feel before they become angry. We will practice several different techniques to de-escalate our feelings and refocus our attention in a calmer manner. We will also go over how our emotions affect others. This is a student-centered class, taught with patience and understanding. No prior knowledge is required for this class. I will show learners techniques to handle day-to-day stress. Week one: Everyday stress Week two: Changing gears, is it worth getting mad about? Week three: Techniques to calm ourselves down Week four: How our anger affects those around us Week five: Maintaining your composure when you are mad. The videos are shorter than a live class. Your child is welcome to pause, rewatch and take notes. Since this is not a live class with interaction, all of the information can be presented in a shorter time frame. Thus making it more informative and easier for students to sit through.
