1 hour per week. Students may need to finish parts of a recipe after class, such as allowing dishes like to set in the refrigerator for the required time. Additionally, some preparation for the next class might be necessary, including washing and cutting fruits, measuring ingredients, and reviewing the next recipe card. Parents are encouraged to assist younger children with these tasks to ensure safety and readiness for the next session. This preparation helps ensure a smooth and enjoyable cooking experience for everyone.Letter Grade

Students will learn to make four no-bake snack recipes: Chocolate Banana Bites, Fruit and Nut Bites, Peanut Butter Balls, and Strawberry Yogurt Bark. The class covers ingredient measurement, basic techniques, nutritional benefits, recipe customization, and storage. Each session includes step-by-step instructions, hands-on practice, interactive Q&A, and discussions. My interactive and supportive teaching style ensures students feel confident and engaged, with multiple opportunities for interaction and feedback.

Learning Needs
I incorporate a structured, step-by-step approach to instructions, visual aids, and provide a calm teaching environment. Each session includes interactive elements to keep students engaged and frequent check-ins for understanding.
Parental Guidance
During our cooking class, please be aware that using knives to cut ingredients may require parental supervision for younger children. Mixing and stirring should be done on a stable surface to prevent spills. Assistance may also be needed when handling items.
Please note potential allergens in our recipes. Substitutes can be used as needed. If you have concerns or need help with ingredient substitutions, please contact me.

Pre-Requisites
Basic kitchen safety awareness and the ability to follow instructions are beneficial. This class is designed to be beginner-friendly, making it accessible to all skill levels.

General Materials: Mixing bowls Measuring cups and spoons Knife and cutting board Food processor (for Fruit and Nut Bites) Baking sheet Parchment paper Microwave-safe bowl (for melting chocolate) Spoon or small scoop (for forming bites) Refrigerator or freezer for chilling Jars or containers for storing snacks Lesson 1: No-Bake Chocolate Banana Bites Ingredients: * 2 large bananas * 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips * 1 tablespoon coconut oil * 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional) * 1/4 cup crushed nuts (optional) Lesson 2: No-Bake Fruit and Nut Bites Ingredients: * 1 cup pitted dates * 1/2 cup almonds * 1/2 cup walnuts * 1/4 cup shredded coconut * 1/4 cup cocoa powder (optional) * 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional) Lesson 3: No-Bake Peanut Butter Balls Ingredients: * 1 cup rolled oats * 1/2 cup peanut butter (or any nut/seed butter) * 1/3 cup honey * 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional) * 1/4 cup flax seeds or chia seeds Lesson 4: No-Bake Strawberry Yogurt Bark Ingredients: * 2 cups Greek yogurt * 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional) * 1 cup strawberries, sliced * 1/4 cup granola * 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional) Optional Equipment: Small scoop for forming energy bites Containers for storing finished products
