Students will learn to make a No-Bake Breakfast Recipe: Chia Seed Pudding. The class covers ingredient measurement, basic techniques, nutritional benefits, recipe customization, and storage. Each session includes step-by-step instructions, hands-on practice, interactive Q&A, and discussions. My interactive and supportive teaching style ensures students feel confident and engaged, with multiple opportunities for interaction and feedback.

Parental Guidance
During our cooking class, please be aware that using knives to cut ingredients may require parental supervision for younger children. Mixing and stirring should be done on a stable surface to prevent spills. Assistance may also be needed when handling items.
Please note potential allergens in our recipes. Substitutes can be used as needed. If you have concerns or need help with ingredient substitutions, please contact me.

Hello! I'm Ms. Powell!
I reside in Florida and I currently teach elementary and high school students virtually during the school year. I am teaching cooking classes on Outschool during the summer.
With over 20 years of teaching experience, I have a strong background in education. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and am certified in ESOL, reading K-12, business 6-12, media specialist K-12, and elementary K-6. I was honored to be named the Reading Teacher of the Year for my district.
My teaching philosophy centers on creating a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel valued and comfortable expressing themselves. I believe in incorporating technology to enhance learning and engage students.
Outside of teaching, I am a food blog owner, which allows me to combine my love for cooking with my educational expertise. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with my family.
Watching children grow and develop brings me immense joy, and my goal is to see my students succeed and develop strong bonds with them.
