1-2 horas por semana. Learners should practice between classes. Parents should tune their child's violin. If you need help, I will send you a video about how to do that!Experiencia de clase
Is your child interested in learning how to play the violin? Join Mrs. Justis as we learn the parts of the violin, how to hold the violin, pluck and play our first notes and songs! Students do not need any prior experience. Young musicians will learn through songs and games as well as lots of hands on practicing! Before you know it, learners will be playing Mozart’s "Twinkle Twinkle", Beethoven’s "Ode to Joy" and more! Each class will start with a fun welcome and introductions, followed by checking to see that our violins are tuned. Violins should be tuned before class so we don’t spend a lot of time tuning. I will send a video on how to tune your violin to each student who signs up for camp. We will start by reviewing what we learned in previous classes. Then we will practice bowing techniques, our scale and eventually our music! There will be times when students will be muted, but many times when students will be unmuted and interacting all together. Students should have a violin, bow, shoulder rest, rosin and finger placement tapes already on their violins. I will put a link to ones I recommend in the material section below. All music and instruction sheets will be provided to learners. Week 1 Lesson 1. What is a violin? Parts, care and plucking strings. The EGG Song. The DAD Song. Lesson 2. How to hold the bow. How to stroke the bow on open strings. Play your name game. How to put fingers on the E string. Week 2. Lesson 3. How to place fingers on A string. Play an A scale. Start learning Twinkle! Lesson 4. A BIG REVIEW- Game Day!!!! Week 3. Lesson 5 Let’s review the A Scale. Learn more of Twinkle Twinkle. Lesson 6. Playing Twinkle with the bow. Let’s pluck Ode to Joy. Week 4. Lesson 7 and 8. Playing the A scale with fun rhythms. Finish learning Twinkle and Ode to Joy. Plucking and bowing! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me! I need a min. of 2 learners to have this camp.

There is an instructional video to show you how. https://www.amazon.com/Eastar-Beginners-Students-Imprinted-Fingerboard/dp/B08199SVYK/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=violin&qid=1616201144&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&smid=A1PZPD3QI86H0M&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFNWVFBT1kxSk1SM0wmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA5ODYwNzAyWU5WMk1VOFlNT08zJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAwOTk3MzQxRDFSMVNYVU82NE02JndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ== 2. bow- usually comes along with your violin 3. rosin- usually comes with your violin. If not, this is what I recommend: https://www.childrensmusicworkshop.com/instruments/violin/violinsizingguide/ 4. shoulder rest- No need for something expensive. You can use a thick sponge and rubber bands, or order this: Here is the sponge one that I recommend.https://www.amazon.com/Players-Economy-Foam-Violin-Shoulder/dp/B000EEJ8V4/ref=sr_1_57?dchild=1&keywords=violin+shoulder+rest&qid=1616201727&sr=8-57 or: If you want to get a fancy one, get a KUN. The imitation ones that are cheaper tend to fall off more easily. 5. Finger Board Tape: Get one to fit your child's violin size. This is a full size, you will need a smaller one. https://www.amazon.com/Dont-Fret-FF121-Beginners-Fingering/dp/B00557KN28/ref=sr_1_28?crid=299GW8HCQV3H&keywords=violin+fingerboard+tape&qid=1657587506&sprefix=violin+fingerboard+tape%2Caps%2C325&sr=8-28 If you have any questions about this information, please don't hesitate to ask!
