Class experience
In this one time class students will use a sewing machine to sew their own pajama pants. Students will need some basic skills in cutting, pinning, threading a needle and sewing machine use. I will provide a pattern for students to use to pin and cut their fabrics. I will show how to measure and cut their fabric and elastic. We will then sew our fabrics with our elastic, and make our pajama pants. Students will need about 3 yards of fabric (unisex adult small-medium 2 yards, unisex adult...
Students will learn how to create a pattern, pin, cut and sew their own pajama pants.
Approximately 3 yards of fabric of students choice (I like Pop! from Joanne Fabrics for the fun prints, but choose what you like that fits in your families budget), a length of 3/4 in elastic 2 inches smaller than the students waist, thread in a complimentary color to your fabric (I usually stick to white or black, but students are free to choose their colors). A sewing machine, bobbin, scissors.
**Students will be using pins, scissors and a sewing machine, it is encouraged that a parent/guardian is nearby for safety.**
