This class is a live one-day class designed for students who are comfortable using their sewing machine and are ready to try more advanced beginner projects. This online class will teach students step by step how to create their own bucket hat for summer using the free Afternoon Bucket Hat pattern by Jennifer Jacobs. In order to participate in this class students MUST: - Own or have access to a sewing machine - Know how to thread the sewing machine and wind the bobbin - Be comfortable following visual instruction and sewing on the sewing machine SEWING MACHINE BASICS WILL NOT BE TAUGHT DURING THIS CLASS. THE CLASS WILL START AT PATTERN ASSEMBLY AND MOVE STRAIGHT TO THE HAT CONSTRUCTION.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED due to the fact that students will be assembling a pdf pattern, using pins, scissors, and sewing with thicker materials.
Supply List
Supply List - 1/2 yard of main fabric (Medium weight fabric like denim or cotton twill works best for this) - 1/2 yard of lining - Matching Thread Basic Sewing Notions - Sewing Machine - Fabric Shears - Paper Scissors - Marking Pen - Straight Pins
