Class Experience

Learn The Art of Sewing: Beginner Projects is part 2 of The Learn The Art of Sewing series. It is a project-based course designed to allow the students who took the Learn The Art of Sewing: Beginner Basics class the ability to become comfortable working independently on their sewing machines doing various beginner-friendly projects.

Each week the students will work on a different project that is a very easy entry-level project designed to be created with a sewing machine. Such as:

Day 1 = Simple Knot Bag
Day 2 = Wash Cloth Soap Holder
Day 3 = A Seatbelt Pillow
Day 4 = A Reading Pillow

Although the students will learn how to measure and cut their fabric parental guidance may be required to assist the student with the prep work as well as the sewing of their projects.

This course WILL NOT teach the students how to thread their machines or wind their bobbins, sew in straight lines, or how to turn their work under the needle. Those skills are learned in the 1st class Learn The Art of Sewing: Beginner Basics.

Note* Please see the supply list for the necessary products needed for each week.
