Class Experience
In this guided drawing course, students will learn art vocabulary around the iconic art movement "Pop Art". Artists like Roy Lichtenstein brought about this movement that has tons of bright contrasting colors. I teach through: tell, show, do, feedback (a method I learned in my time with Starbucks, a long time ago) I find that students learn in a variety of ways (hearing, seeing and doing). Students will create a unique piece of art work around the pop art movement. Florida VA standard VA.68.C.1.1 Apply a range of interests and contextual connections to influence the art-making and self-reflection processes.
I have my Bachelor's degree in Fine Art from FGCU and was an art teacher for four years. I love teaching drawing, painting and sculpture to learners of all ages.
