Does your child struggle with Test Anxiety? When we have HIGH stress or anxiety our "Thinking brain" actually shuts off and our "Lizard Brain" (a very old part of our brain) starts running the show. This process is what has helped human beings survive throughout evolution. This system does not help when we are not actually in danger though, like say while taking a test and we need our THINKING brain! Have your child learn how to take a test, get rid of the extra fear and stayed FOCUSED! Each week we will look at a new topic and build on the previous weeks' content. We look to define what and where Test Anxiety comes from by learning about the possible triggers and causes to having anxiety about taking tests. Each week there is a powerpoint that covers the content which includes short videos that will help explain the materials in a Kid/Teen friendly manner. I have added handouts to help further understanding and comprehension of material. Your Student will learn how to identify not only how to use coping skills that work for them but also challenging negative thoughts that maybe popping up! Your student will learn about how to understand and challenge Core Beliefs they may have. Each week on Mondays I will post a Lecture Video for the purpose of checking in with your student and explaining any materials for the week. Wednesdays- Your student is able to post questions on the materials and I will get back to your student within 24 hours with a video, more resources or answering the questions to ensure your students understanding. Office Hours on Request
