In this 6 week class, beginner violinists will continue to learn the basics of violin playing. Learners should have taken Level 1 or be learning to play Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.
Class experience
This class is a continuation of Beginner Violin Group Class. If your learner has not taken that class, please contact me to ensure that the level will be appropriate. Week 1: Review of concepts covered in Violin Group Class Part 1 - violin and bow hold, finger placement, sound production, rhythms, simple songs Weeks 2-5: Repertoire involving string crossings, ie. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, French Folk Song, Lightly Row, etc. Fiddle music such as Cripple Creek may also be introduced. Week...
By the end of the 6 weeks, students will have progressed with simple songs and music reading.
Homework Offered
Students will be expected to practice in between classes. Even a few minutes a day can make a big difference in progress!0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Learners must have an appropriate size violin, bow & shoulder rest. Pencil & paper may be helpful if learners want to write anything down, although I will post all work in the classroom after each class.
