Supply List
Learners must have an appropriate size violin, bow & shoulder rest. Pencil & paper may be helpful if learners want to write anything down, although I will post all work in the classroom after each class. Amazon link for violin finger tapes: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=violin+finger+tape&ref=nb_sb_noss_1 There are a variety of options - you can either purchase a big sticker (please get the correct size for your learner's violin!) or individual tapes that you measure to apply. Either will work just fine for this class.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
I could tell you about my qualifications, but that alone won't tell you who I am. I have a MMus. in Violin Performance, B.Mus. in Violin Performance, and BA in French. I have been teaching for over 30 years and thankfully still love it!
I currently offer violin, viola, piano, French, and Hebrew classes. My educational philosophy is guided by the main principle of my 25 years as a licensed Kindermusik educator: "Follow the child" - if learners are engaged and having fun, not only will they retain the information but they will want to learn and progress more!
