In this class, students will learn how to make vegan drop biscuits from scratch. We will learn the basics of measuring, combining ingredients, and baking tips. This class will allow students to ask questions and learn the steps of combining ingredients followed by real time baking as I guide each student step by step. This class will be fun and interactive. Your child will need NOT need to pre-measure their ingredients before class as we will practice measuring accurately followed by combining ingredients then baking. We will show our new friends our mixture as we go. Your student does not need to have any prior knowledge. This is a beginner baking class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to read and understand a recipe.
Students will learn to measure ingredients using measuring cups and measuring spoons.
Students will learn to mix ingredients by following a recipe.
Students will work on following written instructions and listening to verbal instructions.

Parental Guidance
Parents may want to assist younger students in this class as students will be using a fork and working with the oven. Parents may need to be near for younger students to ensure proper kitchen safety.

Please print it, read it and have it to follow along in class.

Hi Everyone! I am a certified PK-12 Special Education teacher with more than 25 years of teaching experience. I am a designer with a successful business who loves to teach necessary life skills to children and adults. I have been teaching sewing for over 15 years to as young as 2, with help of course and my oldest to date being 76. You're never too old to learn to sew. It helps with memory, hand eye coordination, build self esteem and teaches how to make basic mending tasks easy. I believe learning should be a fun experience to develop a lifelong love of learning. I will be teaching sewing, cooking, baking, and African history and hope to see you all in class real soon.
