Class experience

US Grade 5 - 8
In this Pre-Algebra and Geometry course, learners will achieve the following goals:

1. Develop a solid foundation in Pre-Algebra concepts such as integers, fractions, order of operations, and algebraic expressions.
2. Master essential Geometry topics including angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, circles, and their properties.
3. Enhance problem-solving skills through engaging math exercises and activities.
4. Strengthen note-taking abilities to effectively capture key concepts and problem-solving strategies.
5. Improve mathematical reasoning and critical thinking skills by individually and collaboratively solving math problems.
6. Gain proficiency in evaluating and simplifying algebraic expressions, applying the distributive property, and solving one-step equations.
7. Acquire a deep understanding of geometric concepts like angle measurement, congruence, perimeter, area, and volume.
8. Build confidence in using mathematical terminology and applying it in real-world contexts.
9. Develop self-discipline and time management skills through completing assigned homework and handouts.
10. Seek clarification and actively participate in class discussions to resolve questions and concerns.
11. Adapt to a moderately paced learning environment and demonstrate readiness to progress to new topics when the class as a whole is proficient.

Students are encouraged to create an account and utilize this valuable resource to supplement their learning experience. Khan Academy offers a wide range of educational videos, quizzes, and tests that further reinforce the covered topics. This external resource serves as a convenient and accessible tool for students to enhance their understanding both during class and outside of it, fostering continuous learning and skill development. 

As an additional resource, I may offer supplementary support through YouTube videos or my Google Classroom. These videos serve as valuable tools to further enhance understanding and grasp complex concepts. By providing accessible visual explanations, learners can reinforce their comprehension and deepen their knowledge. Utilizing diverse resources, including YouTube, & Google Classroom, I aim to cater to various learning styles and ensure comprehensive learning experiences for all students.
