US Grade 6
In this course, students will be given guided practice problems involving pre-algebra skills and concepts typically taught in sixth grade. This should not be the student's first exposure to these mathematical operations. Students will be given immediate feedback, guided error correction, and reteaching as needed during the class. Learners can also bring homework or assignments from school or other classes involving pre-algebra to work on together.

Concepts and skills can include any of the following.
•Writing Variable Expressions
•Evaluating Variable Expressions
•Distributive Property
•Combining Like Terms
•Equivalent Expressions
•Substitution
•Writing Equations
•Solving One-Step Addition, Subtractions, Multiplication, or Division Equations
•Word Problems with One-Step Equations
•Graphing, Writing, and Solving One-Step Inequalities
•Word Problems with One-Step Inequalities

Please schedule sessions carefully, as missed classes will not be rescheduled or refunded.

Other Details

Pre-Requisites
Learners should have a basic understanding of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division before attending this class.
Supply List
Learners should bring something to write with to each class meeting.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
