Class Experience

US Grade 7
This 16-week course is designed to teach students 7th grade math and prepare them for 8th grade math. The course is self-paced and does not include live sessions. The curriculum covers a range of topics, including rates, percentages, negative numbers, variables and expressions, equations and inequalities, geometry, and probability and statistics.

Video lessons created by me will be posted on the classroom board and will include resources to aid in learning. Weekly check-ins and updates will be provided. Students will receive guides and worksheets and are expected to complete and submit homework weekly. Homework can be submitted by sending an image, scan, or PDF. Unit tests may be issued on Khan Academy, and a final course review will be given to test student retention of information and readiness for 8th grade math.

The course uses both Khan Academy and outside worksheets, and I am happy to provide additional worksheets upon request. Communication with students is done solely through the Outschool platform, and parents are encouraged to ensure their child is completing assignments and watching video lessons. Prior knowledge of elementary math, such as multiplying, fractions, decimals, division, addition, and subtraction is expected.

Live One-on-one tutoring are available via zoom at an additional cost for students who need extra help. Students are welcome to message me at any time with questions or concerns, and I can provide additional videos on specific topics if needed. Effective communication is key since there are no live sessions.
