In these 1-on-1 leadership development sessions, learners will have the opportunity to explore a leadership topic of their interest or choice. They will engage with topics through mini-lectures, interactive activities, discussions, and video clips. These sessions use a student-led approach that empowers teens to take an active role in their own personal growth and leadership journey. The topics learners can choose from include, but are not limited to: *Building Self-Confidence *Effective Communication *Goal Setting and Achievement *Time Management and Prioritization *Decision-Making and Problem-Solving *Teamwork and Collaboration *Conflict Resolution *Leadership Styles and Strengths *Public Speaking and Presentation Skills *Empathy and Active Listening *Resilience and Adaptability *Overcoming Challenges and Setbacks *Balancing School, Life, and Leadership Roles *Mindset for Success *Leading with Integrity and Accountability As the facilitator, I will act as a guide and mentor, providing expertise, support, resources, and engaging activities to help teens understand the importance of developing strong leadership skills. Learners will be encouraged to develop self-awareness about their strengths and areas for growth, and to explore strategies for making meaningful, lasting changes to their leadership approach and mindset. Note: These sessions are not designed to provide personalized psychological or mental health advice. They are focused on leadership skill-building and are based on research and best practices. For specific mental health or well-being concerns, please consult with your teen’s physician or a qualified mental health professional.

Students will improve leadership skills by exploring strategies to help them prepare for leadership roles and understand the importance of developing strong leadership skills.

Supply List
For each session, learners should have a journal/one-subject notebook, pencil or pen, highlighters, color-pencils or markers. All other materials will be provided by the instructor. Some sessions may require handouts that should be printed but not required to print prior to the session.

I have over 20 years of experience as a proven leader in government, education, and non-profit organizations. Throughout my career, I have held various leadership roles, including program director and executive board positions on nonprofit boards. I am a graduate of the Certified Public Manager Program, an accredited program in South Carolina through the National Certified Public Manager Consortium. Additionally, I have developed and implemented leadership development programs for both law enforcement officers and teens, equipping them to excel in formal and informal leadership roles across diverse settings.
