Food labels are packed with information but deciphering them can feel overwhelming. This lesson will equip you with the skills to decode food labels effectively, empowering you to make informed choices about the food you eat.

Building a Healthy Plate
Imagine your plate as a canvas for creating a balanced and nutritious meal. This lesson will guide you through the art of "building a healthy plate" using the MyPlate method developed by the USDA.

Energy Essentials for Active Teens
Being a teenager is all about growth, exploration, and pushing your limits. Whether you're on the track team, a dance enthusiast, or a weekend warrior, proper nutrition fuels your active lifestyle and helps you achieve your best. This session dives into the essentials of teen nutrition, empowering you to make informed choices that support your body and boost your performance.
 I am a middle school basketball coach with experience and training in working with student athletics to ensure they are healthy and safe while practicing and participating in competitive sports. My annual training from the National Federation of State High School Associations includes sports nutrition, concussions in sports, heat illness prevention, heat illness prevention, and protecting students from abuse. I am also a fitness coach and a Certified Nutrition Coach (Certification #1220763404) from the National Association of Sports Medicine.
