Fitness, Exercise, and Health Camp - Elementary Fitness Series

In this 4 week fitness and exercise class, students will experience energetic, fun exercise classes filled with appropriately challenged workouts as they improve on various fitness skills like strength, endurance, coordination, balance and more!

Class Experience

In this 4 week course, students will jump into a fun, engaging fitness class that will serve as a great mid-day break for parents! Parents will receive a breath of fresh air as their child improves on numerous fitness tests, proving that this class works. Students will start class 1 with a fitness challenges that measures where each student is at. Then, throughout our 4 weeks together, we will improve on SMART Goals, set by the students. At the conclusion of the class, students will improve their plank time, number of push ups and sit ups, and overall cardio and endurance. 

As a current high school football coach and former P.E. teacher, I see great value in students feeling appropriately challenged to pursue a specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely goal that they set for themselves. Students will feel energized, encouraged and most importantly positive during and after this summer fitness challenge! I look forward to meeting your learner for some awesome workouts!

Learning Goals

Students will learn fun ways to workout and develop new motor skills. 
Students will improve plank time, push up number and sit up number

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Parents should supervise their child to ensure that they are in a safe area and are performing the activities/movements within the workout correctly.
Supply List
Students will need access to a water bottle, an open space (a living room, backyard, etc.) and closed toed shoes. Warm up will be led by me at the beginning of class. Students are encouraged to stretch following the class.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I received my B.S. in Athletic Training from Whitworth University. I completed 1,250 clinical hours in physical therapy clinics, collegiate, semi-professional and high school athletic training rooms, emergency rooms and urgent cares. 
I am currently completing my final course of my Master's in Secondary Education (Graduation - May 2020); emphasis in health, fitness and science.
