Class Experience
It is no secret that off-ice hockey training is beneficial for all ages and levels, improving aspects of the game such as speed, power, agility, focus and strength. In these private ongoing lessons, the learner will complete drills based on what they want and need to work on. Examples including specific stickhandling, specific skills (shooting, passing, deeks) and even dryland exercises (explosiveness, agility, core strength), with demonstrations from the teacher and some NHL highlight vidoes. Please bring a water bottle, a hockey stick 1-2 inches above or below their chin as well as a hockey specific ball (a golf or tennis ball can also be used). Please make sure the learner has room to move as well as an appropriate surface to stickhandle on (carpet, yoga mat, etc). I grew up playing competitive ice hockey and played varisty ice hockey for my university. l look forward to sharing my hockey knowledge! Please see below for my most up to date hockey classes. If you have any further questions or requests, send me a message and I will get back to you within 1-2 business days.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello and welcome to my Outshcool profile,
My name is Emily Davies and I have been an online instructor for 2 years. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University - ranked 2nd best university in Canada and 30th internationally. In addition to completing a challenging program, I played for the women's varsity ice hockey team. Upon graduating, I worked in administration, operations, event planning and marketing capacities, in the for-profit and non-profit sectors, before finding my passion for teaching!
My classes revolve around topics I am passionate about like athletics, early childhood education, languages (English/French), travel and business. My classes are high-energy, interactive and inclusive.
When I am not teaching, you can find me playing hockey, reading, running, cooking and traveling the world with my partner and dog.
I am so excited to see you in my classroom!
