We'll solve vitamin and mineral mysteries and leave with some tools to help students remember the best sources for different nutrients and the role of those nutrients in their body. We'll learn some crucial information and students will become nutrient sleuths finding clues to solve nutrition conundrums. Day 1 will be an introduction to some of the most important terms we’ll use throughout the course. We’ll learn about the different categories of vitamins and how our bodies absorb and expel them differently. Day 2 we’ll get to know the different essential vitamins and the food or other natural sources from which they’re acquired. Day 3 is an introduction to essential trace and macro minerals and some of their jobs in the human body. Day 4 we’ll identify foods and other natural sources of minerals.
