Class Experience

This super fun class will give picky eaters a chance to try new foods and learn cool new food facts.
We'll explore and sample new, healthy foods each week. We'll investigate smells, textures, colors, and overall appearance.
We'll share some techniques to get past weird textures and ways to mellow out extreme flavors. We'll explore why it matters to try new foods and what these wild new foods can do for our bodies!
The weekly food choices will usually contain a variety of commonly accepted foods (i.e. apples, potatoes, bananas), oddly textured foods (i.e. avocados, okra, kiwi), and/or strongly flavored foods (i.e. lemons, beets, onions).
Students will have the opportunity to talk about their favorite (and least favorite) flavors and participate in fun brain breaks.
Together we'll take tiny, exploratory steps that could end in a nibble of a previously despised food.
The weekly foods can follow the listed schedule or parents/students can request a specific food be introduced.

Please have food washed and prepped before meetings.
