Description
Class Experience
Listening isn't always easy, especially when you're feeling wiggly or have your own ideas to share. In All Ears, we'll practice using top to bottom listening while participating in silly activities. Each meeting, we'll review all the parts of listening and apply them to games and challenges. Students will learn techniques to help them keep their focus directed toward the speaker and get more information and fun from their interactions. Students will learn active listening skills.
Paper or whiteboard and a writing utensil will be needed for some activities. A quiet fidget toy/object can be very helpful for some students. This is optional but certainly helps for the most wiggly kids.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
