Class Experience

We all have worries! That is a normal and healthy emotion for us to experience. This class will focus on the book by Suzanne Chiew called, "The Worry Box"

Class will begin with introductions and a brief discussion about how worries are part of our lives, but there are some great ways to cope with them. We will then read the book, stopping to allow students to share their thoughts or any connections they make.

After the story we will work on our own "Worry Box" - a box template will be included in the classroom for parents to print before class. Students will be able to decorate their boxes during class and also work on writing their worries down on paper. They do not have to share them if they do not want to, but there will be time.

After class, parents can help the students assemble their boxes.
This is a social, interactive class that focuses on emotions and a creative way to deal with them.
