St. Patrick's Day is a longstanding tradition in Ireland - it is celebrated on March 17th every year by many people around the World. In this class we will take a look at the history and traditions of this special day. We will spend some time with some silly Leprechauns, read an Irish story and work on a writing activity together. Learners will have plenty of time to ask questions, make connections and cement their knowledge by completing a written portion. *The writing portion will have students create a "Wanted" poster for a Leprechaun. They will use descriptive words, adjectives and create a visual of their Leprechaun. *Please note, while St. Patrick's Day is a religious holiday this class will be secular and focus purely on the traditions that have come from this historical day**
