Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
Solving equations is SUCH a critical skill! Solving emoji puzzles is a great way to practice the critical thinking that will drive the student towards mastery!

I will provide the notes, examples, activities and directions needed to seamlessly follow through each activity. The student will be encouraged to take notes as they move through as this will help them understand the examples and complete the puzzles, and I will respond to any questions that may be posted via Outschool messages (turn around time for responses is typically within a 24-hour time period). There will be 4 posts with 8 puzzles each, and the goal will be to try and complete the entire set prior to starting the next post. This will ensure the student is able to complete all work within 4 weeks; however, time can be extended if needed.
Learning Goals
The student will:

-use mental math to find the missing number in a mathematical statement
-use inverse operations to find the missing number in a mathematical statement
-evaluate expressions
