The assessments will consist of independent practice during sessions and reading high frequency words.Class Experience

Beginner - Intermediate Level
The class will meet three times per week (Monday-Wednesday) and we will cover segmenting (sounding and blending) words, various spelling patterns and syllable types, and high frequency words. We will start the lesson with any celebrations we may have or discuss what we learned from the previous session and end the session with an independent practice opportunity and questions the students may have. We will be utilizing whiteboards, dry erase marker and paper for whole group and independent practice.

Reviewing letter-sound correspondence
The students will be able to review all 26 letters and sounds and are able to differentiate the letters that are consonants and vowels. 30 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Long and Short Vowels
The students will be able to distinguishing between long and short vowel sounds in one-syllable word. 30 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Long and Short Vowels
The students will be able to distinguishing between long and short vowel sounds in one-syllable word. 30 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Diagraphs and Trigraphs
The students will be able to sound out and write diagraphs and traigraphs in words. 30 mins online live lesson
Other Details
Parental Guidance
YouTube will be used to introduce topics and conclude a lesson such as syllables and vowel teams. An account may need to be created.
Supply List
Whieboard and dry erase marker (can be found at Dollar Tree or any Dollar Store) and journal or loose leaf paper. High frequency list will be given beginning- middle of the course.
