The homework will consist of journal entries, worksheets, and/or small projects that can be done at home.

Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 2
The course will be taught by introducing a new topic each week that will contain a video or more (depending on the length of the lesson). Topics that will be covered will be all about a scientist, how objects move, matter, objects in the sky, weather and seasons and much more! I will begin the lessons with some review tips from the previous lesson and end the lesson with wrapping up what was taught.

The learning goal is for the students to build more knowledge of science. The students must realize that science is around us and that it is constantly changing.

Working Like A Scientist
 The students will be able to explain what a scientist is. The students will also understand the Science Safety Rules.

 The students will be able to classify objects by observable properties such as larger and smaller, heavier, and lighter, shape, color, and texture.

Investigating Energy
 The students will be able to identify and discuss how different forms of energy such as light, thermal, and sound are important to everyday life.

Lesson 4:
Investigating How Objects Move
 The students will be able to demonstrate and record ways objects can move such as zigzag, straight up, and down, etc. The student will also be able to predict and describe how a magnet can be used to push or pull an object.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
We will be utilizing YouTube to highlight topics such as characteristics of animals. An account may need to be created to be able to access the videos.
Supply List
Journal or loose leaf paper, any materials that can be found outside or at home such as small rocks, a ball, etc (more info to come).
