A "Splash" of Phonics! Brain-Friendly Phonics & Decoding 5-Day Reading Camp

In this 5-day phonics class, learners at a 1st or 2nd grade reading level will engage in phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding and fluency-building activities to strengthen their accuracy in recognizing and reading multisyllabic words.

These 30-minute phonics lessons are designed to provide a daily "splash" of some of the most critical phonics skills, taught in 1st and 2nd grade, that students may not have mastered during the previous school year due to a variety of factors that could have disrupted their learning. Students will accurately read text using word parts and phonics patterns.
I hold a current teaching certificate, along with a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Specialist endorsement and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an ELL endorsement and 12 years of elementary general education teaching experience. I have taught (and loved) many students with a wide variety of additional needs, such as dyslexia, autism, or learning/focus/behavior challenges that make reading tricky.

Optional extra practice opportunities/ games/ skill sheets will be sent via Outschool message to the adult who enrolls each student.Assessments Offered
Parents will receive an update at the end of the week on how their learner progressed throughout the camp, and learners will receive a certificate of completion!Grades Offered
Please bring a dry erase board and marker or magnetic letters with a magnetic board if you have them. They are not required, but would be helpful in achieving mastery with the skills.
