In this engaging Montessori Phonics class, young learners will discover the sounds of each letters and lay the groundwork for reading success. This class introduces phonics through hands-on, sensory-rich activities designed to capture children’s interest and foster the natural love for language.

Using the Montessori approach, learners will explore each letter’s unique sound, recognize initial sounds in words, and practice blending sounds to form simple words. With a focus on auditory, visual, and tactile learning, each activity supports multi-sensory engagement, helping children build confidence in their phonetic awareness.

CLASS OBJECTIVES:
• Sound Recognition - Learners will identify and distinguish letter sounds, recognizing the role of phonics in early reading.

• Phonetic Awareness - Through engaging activities, children will become familiar with the initial sounds of common words.

• Fine Motor Skills - Activities involving tracing, matching, and arranging letter symbols will reinforce letter-sound associations while enhancing fine motor control.

• For each week, we will explore two letters of the alphabet.
• Beginning letter sounds card

Supply List
• Sandpaper letter card set or printed version
• Small tray with sand (sand tray) for your learner to trace a letter.
• Pencil, markers, crayons, scissors, glue stick, construction paper, dot paint (dabbers)

FUN FACTS ABOUT ME: 
I love to GARDEN! I believed I have a green thumb. You can find variety of plants and edibles from inside my home to flowering plants and vegetables at the backyard garden. I learned a lot from these hobby. I also have a gold fish pet name Goldie. Aside from gold fish, I have several pets during summer that I called "free range" these are the Monarch Butterflies. They stay with me until their wings are strong enough to fly high and travel to the South!
