The students will be learning letter- sound correspondence, rhyming, segmenting (sounding out) words, blending sounds into words,identifying syllables and high frequency words. The class will meet three times a week and start with any celebrations we may have or what we learned from the previous session and end it with an independent practice and questions the students may have. Frequency: Available upon requestDetails: The assessment will consist of segmenting words and reading high frequency words.
Whiteboard and dry erase marker (can easily be found at Dollar Tree or Dollar Store), journal or loose leaf paper, and the high frequency list which will be given beginning to middle of the course.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
YouTube will be used to introduce a lesson or a be a fun song for the end of the lesson. An account may need to be created.
