Beginner Level
What will be taught: Students learn to divide a decimal by a whole number. Students learn to divide a decimal by a decimal. Students learn to divide by the special numbers of 10,100, 1000, etc. Students learn to divide a fraction into a decimal. Students learn to change a decimal to a fraction. Student learn when doing computations with both decimals and fractions. How will be taught: Nearpod, slides, some white board, students will engage in learning and solving division with decimals, doc cam will also be used. Some experience and knowledge of decimals is helpful.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to know how to divide decimals using the rules learned in the lesson. Students will have confidence in using the lesson when problem solving for yearly salary, dollars and cents, how to find out and solve for distance and more.Other Details
Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
