This one-time math class will explain basic division with and without using the array strategy for beginning division facts up to 12.

Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
In this introductory Division one time class, students will learn what division is while they learn how to make arrays for division fact problems.  Students will observe the teacher making array problems to solve division fact problems as well as work problems with the teacher and solve problems on their own.  Students will work on division fact problems up to 12.  An example of possible problems could be 36 divided by 6 equals 6 or 144 divided by 12 equals 12.  Students should have a good understanding of their multiplication facts up to 12.

Hello everyone!  Welcome to Outschool!  
My name is Ms. Julie and I'm excited to meet you!  I teach Reading, Math, Writing, ESL (English As a Second Language), and other subjects too.  I've been an educator and teaching for over 20 years in both brick-and-mortar and online.  When I'm not teaching, I can often be found tutoring online or in person.  My experience includes working with preschool to high school students with a lot of my experience with elementary and middle school age groups.  I have an elementary education K-6 grade license as well as a math 5-8 license and a K-12 ESL (English As a Second Language) License.  I have taught ESL (English as a Second Language) for many years also.  My masters in reading has been a great resource as well.
Every student can learn and I believe we all learn in different ways.  I love to have fun while learning!  When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time outside with my furry friend or time with family and friends.
