What will be taught:
Students learn what can an adverb tell you about a verb in a sentence.
Students learn that an adverb can tell how, when or where.
Students learn to correct sentences or tell if the adverb tells how, when or where.
Students will have a writing activity using the adverb rules in their sentences. 
Students will learn how adverbs make their writing more interesting.
Students will learn to name the adverb that tells how the action is done. 
Students will write a paragraph using the correct form of the verb so that it agrees with the pronoun of a subject of a sentence.
Students will have a writing activity using the adverbs that tell how.
Students will learn how do adverbs tell where and when help in their writing
Students will learn the rules of the adverbs that tell when or where.
Students will understand how to write verbs and the adverb in sentence. 
Students will write joining words to form contractions and tell at least three adverbs that tell how. 
Students will have a writing activity and write a comparison using adverbs that tell where and when. 
Students will learn how quotation marks are used in sentences and why it is important to remember to write quotation marks in their paragraphs or sentences. 
Students will practice sentences and show where quotation marks go.
Students will practice contractions in sentences and describes adverbs. 
How will it be taught:
Nearpod, slides, doc cam, lectures, discussions.
Previous knowledge or verbs, contractions, quotations is helpful for the students to understand about adverbs. 
There will be worksheets provided with answer keys for students to continue to practice on their own pace.

Students learn what can an adverb tell you about a verb in a sentence. Students will understand why it is important to remember to write quotation marks in their sentences. Students will understand how to write each kind of adverb in a sentence to describe how, when, or where and action takes place.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
