What is science of taxonomy? How are marine animals classified? What are the adaptations marine creatures have that help them survive in their ocean habitat? How does human activity impact these environments. These will be the questions driving the course content during our time in class. Each class will follow a similar format to the following: Part 1: Discussion question on the weekly topic to access learner's prior knowledge. Part 2: Content exploration through discussion and multi-media presentation. Part 3: Concept review and student assessment using techniques such as, but not limited to: short answer description, identification, student created products and games.
