Description
Class Experience
In this class, Students will learn what makes sea turtle unique. We will explore the characteristics of the seven species of sea turtles, their eating and reproductive behavior and relationship to their environment. Lastly, we will explore threats to these animals and our efforts to protect them.
Marine science and the environment have been passionate pursuits of mine since childhood. I feel that my versatile teaching experience and training, coupled with an inquiry-based approach to exploring topics I love, will spark student's curiosity and learning.
Prior to start of class I will provide students with a handout they may use for taking notes.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
