The diversity of aquatic and semi-aquatic creatures is incredible. From the quick colour changing abilities of the cuttlefish to the long migration patterns of the leatherback sea turtle, these creatures are ready to shock you (sometimes literally!) with their skills. Two aquatic (or semi-aquatic) animals take the spotlight in each of these weekly, fact-filled lessons. The animals will include a variety of invertebrates, mammals, fish, reptiles, and seabirds. Learners will learn many things such as behaviour, diet, and fascinating facts about two aquatic/semi-aquatic species per week.
I have a strong passion for animals and have even worked in a large aquarium with creatures such as stingrays, jellyfish and many fish species. I love getting others excited about the animal kingdom and feel as though I can approach this topic with a lot of fun and excitement for the learners.
I will provide an (optional) handout that students can use for note taking if they would like to.
