Class Experience

This Intermediate Stretch, Flexibility, and Acro Class is perfect for acrobats, dancers, gymnasts, ice skaters, cheerleaders, and other athletes interested in acrobatics and floor tricks. This class also caters to those with busy schedules, that do not fit into the current time offerings for live class meetings, or who simply do not prefer to take live classes. Flex classes allow students to take class anytime of the day or night, at the most convenient time for their schedules.

The class will focus on increasing flexibility, and learning intermediate acro skills.

**As this class is intermediate, previous experience is required and necessary for safe participation. To join, a student must already have all of the skills from Beginner Acro and basic tumbling skills:
-Strong Bridges
    -standard bridges
    -elbow bridges
    -twist to bridge
-Elbow Stands
-Chest Stands
-Face Freezes/Shoulder Stand
-Headstands
-“Good Leg” Split (flat on the floor)
   -Continuous Split
-Forward Rolls
-Backward Rolls
-Handstands
-Cartwheels
    -Cartwheel Switch Split
*If you are unsure what any of these skills are, or if you student is ready for this class, please reach out!

Lesson Overview:
All lessons will be approximately 10-20 minutes long (depending on the skill (excluding stretching - 30 minutes WITH stretching)) and will cover a acro skill/floor trick each week. When possible, each week's skill will include variations ranging from easier, to more difficult. This is put in place in order to challenge students, and cater to a wide range of skill levels. Students are encouraged to refer to one of our 15 minute warm up and stretch videos before beginning the acro video. These two segments of class are filmed separately for the instance in which a learner and parent are interested only in the acro component of this class.

While there will be no required homework, athletes are always encouraged to post videos and pictures in our classroom page to showcase their progress and accomplishments. Learners are always welcome to message me for feedback on any given skill they are looking to improve.

All class material and content for the upcoming week will be uploaded by Monday at 8:00 AM EST for students to begin practicing the content of the lesson, and working on this week's skills and conditioning.
