In this class, we will work together to create interactive notebooks to go alongside our journey through Medieval History! Each class, we will put together the notebook pages for one chapter of the history book we have covered to-date. This is a purely supplemental, but fun, activity for students who would like to continue to learn and reinforce Medieval History between semesters of Curiosity Chronicles: Medieval History. This class will be very much round table discussion as we work together to decide correct answers to questions, and what we remember about each chapter. Our planned activities will cover the first twelve chapters of the text, from Justinian Gets the Plague to Wisdom Blooms in Baghdad. The activities in this notebook will be provided for the student ahead of time. Students will be absolutely welcome to draw their own activities should they wish to (or if parents do not wish to print!). By the end of the year, we will have completed activities for all the chapters in the text, allowing for a fun and colorful review of each chapter of our learning, as well as a portfolio of what was covered in History this year!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Care, and I am a teacher by trade. I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent children - specifically those with ADHD, Anxiety, ASD, and gifted diagnoses. I love reading, knitting, Final Fantasy XIV, and Bluey!
I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education earned from Northern Illinois University. My teaching certificate is now out of date, as I have relocated to Canada. I have a wonderful spouse, and we have a thirteen year old child. Our household is body-positive, rainbow-themed, and neurodiverse. I enjoy spending time with kids, and talking with them to discover new ideas together.
In my classroom, learners and their families have the right to:
- Be treated with dignity and respect regardless of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, neurology, marital status, or sexual orientation
- A safe and healthy environment
- Be treated as your learner’s most important people
- Receive timely communication about the learner’s temperament, behavior, compliments and concerns
I am not perfect, but I do my best to try to help everyone feel included and accepted for who they are at all times!
