Welcome to the world of IEW writing! In this class learners will learn and practice writing the IEW way. We will study outlining, note taking, retelling stories, summarizing references, writing from pictures, and more. Often times, learners don't know what to write about or how to begin. That first sentence can be extremely challenging! In this course, the main idea will be provided. From there, we will focus on tools (following an outline and a checklist) which will help the learners' writing come alive. There is a workbook we work out of (see below) as well as a quick-look guide I recommend, which has examples of the tools we use to write our papers listed on it. Some activities your learner will learn include: adverbs, who/which clause, adverb clause, various sentence openers, the use of strong verbs and adjectives, and much more! Come learn from a registered instructor. I will be invested in your learners' success and will meet with them 1:1 outside of class if need be, to ensure they are grasping new concepts. ----- This course will be offered in two parts and we will meet once a week: Part one: Weeks 1-15 - Covering units 1-5 Part two: Weeks 16-30 - Covering units 6-9 *This class will typically take 45-50 minutes to complete, each week. ------ *Teacher refund policy: Full refund up to a week after the start of the course. ------ Here is the book you will need for this course, please purchase it before we start class: https://iew.com/medieval-history-based-writing-lessons-student-book-only Here is the reference portable wall you will need, please purchase this as well: https://iew.com/portable-walls-for-structure-and-style-students
